Burgess and Leigh Tureen
...An antique Soup Tureen by Burgess and Leigh...I have not yet identified the pattern; the SHAPE seems to be "Mabelle"...the registry No's are identical, 274526...dating to between 1895 and 1905...Burgess and Leigh Burslem, Semi-Porcelain...The lid is notched, and probably had a matching spoon or ladle at one time...There are no nicks, chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs...mild crazing is noted, particularly at the internal (underside) of the lid....A very nice piece of English Porcelain...
