...offered for your consideration is a Vintage Austrian Porcelain vase with a most unusual form.
I have not been able to identify a maker, yet obviously, it is Royal Porcelain...
The piece stands ~ 12" tall; the mouth yawns open to ~ 5 3/4"...
The base is ~ 4 7/8" diameter ; in addition to the depicted marks, it is impressed,
"5483"....
...The body glaze is a semi-matte, in pastels of pink and light chartreuse;
the front features a handpainted spray of flowers, while the back features
a single flower...
The neck and most bottom border feature scrolling and arches...
On either side of the body proper are small handles, decorative I'm sure...
at the base of each handle is a round reticulation; it seems that perhaps there were
"coils", or something to that effect, which "looped" through the openings..
The Gold stenciling which lined the lip is essentially worn away; Gold work which
highlights the handles and Floral Art , as well as the base is in Very Good condition...
There are no nicks, chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs to note; the piece is not crazed,
and has a marvelously resonant "porcelain ping" when tapped....
