"Glasbake Scallop Dish"

...A most unusual little piece, I discovered this
item being used as a soap dish;

Upon closer  inspection, the under (detailed )
side is marked "Glasbake"...

From the squared end to the curved lip
measures ~ 5";
Across the widest aspect is ~ 5 1/2"...

The underside features marvelous detail,
along with being 2-toed...

The square on the underside contains
"Glasbake", in the old, "hourglass"
shaped logo...

I attempted to picture that logo by scan
(bottom), but it wouldn't capture well

This is an OLD piece of Glasbake;
I'd estimate it to be from the 1940's
or so, perhaps a bit earlier...

Just the tiniest bit of mold roughness can be felt
rather than seen; absolutely no nicks, chips,
cracks, hairlines or repairs....
