"Kid Ory's Creole Jazz Band"
...Vintage Jazz EP's are seldom-found with their covers, let alone in Red Vinyl!
This is "Kid Ory's Creole Jazz Band, Vol. 2", Good Time Jazz EP 1015...a 1953 release,
the music presented older than that (recorded August, 1945)...
The cover itself has seen better days, split at seams top and bottom...I am assuming the small
sticker to the front to be an original retail sticker...
In addition to Kid Ory(trombone), featured musicians are Mutt Carey(trumpet), Omer Simeon(clarinet),
Buster Wilson(piano),Bud Scott(guitar), Ed Garland(bass), and Minor Hall(drums)...
The Tunes: "Panama", "Careless Love", "Under the Bamboo Tree", and,"Do What Ory Say".
The vinyl is in G to G+condition, with some marring and wisps...there is certainly an amount
of surface noise when played, but doesn't detract significantly from enjoyment,
particularly when one understands the rarity of this musical form in this format...
One of a handful of Legendary "Founding Fathers" of Jazz, Kid Ory and his brand of
musical styling influenced scores of greats which came after him......
